Masaaki Ueki Shuseki Shihan in presence of Takeshi Oishi Shihan, Toshihiro Mori Shihan and Fujikiyo Omura Shihan in Bangkok, Thailand and has received the Certificate of Membership from the Japan Karate Association on 17 October, 2015 in JKA Headquarters Tokyo and became a direct branch of JKA World Federation in India. The JKA has appointed Somnath Palchowdhury as Official Representative and (Kaichou) Chairman of JKAWF INDIA.

Since then the JKAWF INDIA is working relentlessly towards the promotion of karate-do as taught in the JKA in Japan through weekly Instructor’s Classes (Shidoin keiko), monthly Workshops in the Districts, Parent – Teacher Meetings, Annual Training Camps by the Japanese Instructors from the JKA, Judges’ Seminars, Annual Tournaments, JKA Kyu (colour belts) Rank Promotion Tests by the JKA Certified Examiners, JKA Dan (Black Belt Diploma) Tests and other Licence Qualification Tests by the Japanese Examiners from the JKA HQ in Japan, visiting abroad attending overseas JKA International Training Camps (gasshuku), International JKA Championships, Online Trainings by JKA Certified senior instructors of JKAWF INDIA, Online Training and Exams by the Japanese instructors of the JKA and so on.

JKAWF INDIA is an approved karate organisation by Karate India Organisation (KIO), that is the national federation for karate in India recognised by South Asian Karate-Do Federation, Asian Karate Federation, Commonwealth Karate Federation & World Karate Federation. In every state our branches are members of the respective KIO state governing body viz in West Bengal we are Member of Karate-Do Association of Bengal. The JKAWF INDIA is centrally organised and coordinated through JKAWF INDIA HQ, situated in Kolkata, although there are many member groups and branch dojo in different parts of the country.
