JKA Bangalore hosted a Special Keiko
Today JKA Bangalore hosted a special keiko by Puneet Kochar Bhattacharya Sensei, 4th DAN JKA, Technical Commission Member of JKAWF INDIA Kolkata. She is a karateka with over a decade of teaching experience, a educator & researcher, assistant professor of Jadavpur University, Kolkata and still learning the JKA Karate.
Puneet Sensei, kept the students engaged through a very intensive shotokan karate session. She started the day with innovative kata based warmups and movement exercises and slowly transitioned into the complexities. The content of the camp was designed thoughtfully and was enjoyed both by parents and teachers alike. The camp focused on educating kids about basic movements and related those in karate training. It involved specific drills to improve kihon which then translated to kumite and kata.
The outcomes was to develop two physical fitness components which are also very essential in karate-speed and agility. It also had drills to improve mental concentration.
Rajarshi Ray Sensei, Partha Chatterjee Sensei and Prakash Ratne Sensei assisted in conducting the camp.
At the end of the training session, the JKA Bangalore instructors seeked the suggestions of Puneet Sensei over a sumptuous Asian meal at Yauatcha, a Michelin star restaurant at MG, Road Bangalore.
The JKA Bangalore instructors, bid farewell to Puneet Sensei, and expressed to desire to train with her again.
