    JKA Kyu Grading Examinations

    149 young JKA members attended JKA Kyu Grading Test conducted by JKAWF INDIA Kolkata in Krishnagar, Nadia district hosted by “Krishnagar JKA Karate Academy” headed by Amit Modak Sensei, 2nd Dan JKA and Dibyendu Saha Sensei, 2nd Dan JKA.All these candidates posses “JKA Passports” issued by JKA HQ Tokyo and will be receiving Kyu Certificates from JKAWF INDIA Kolkata, approved by JKA HQ.Congratulations to instructors Amit Modak, Dibyendu Saha, Krishnendu Sen, Koushik Banerjee assisted by Abhijit Halder, Payel Banerjee and Moumita Chakraborty for their hard work and contribution in promoting authentic JKA Karate in suburban towns of West Bengal.

    68 candidates attended JKA Kyu Grading Tests in Burdwan Town headed by Bidyuddipto Chakraborty Sensei, 2nd Dan JKA conducted by JKAWF INDIA Kolkata.


    Over 80 JKA members of JKA S24Pgs headed by Puneet Bhattacharya Sensei 4th Dan JKA attended JKA Kyu Grading Tests at CES, Jadavpur, Kolkata conducted by JKAWF INDIA Kolkata.We have found the students extremely disciplined, focused, attentive and this time of course with improved skill.All successful candidates will receive their new colour belts and Kyu Certificates from JKAWF INDIA Kolkata soon.

    65 JKA members appeared for JKA Kyu Grading Tests at Chinsurah hosted by HTSKI headed by Subhojit Dhar Sensei 3rd Dan JKA, conducted by JKAWF INDIA Kolkata.Great ambiance created by the hosts that was exemplary.The enthusiasm of the parents were noted all through.The HTSKI Dojo has incorporated Theory Exam for all beside the usual technical evaluation as per JKA Syllabus that drove the young karateka study the subject of karate. A well thought initiative indeed.Congratulations to all those who have passed.Thanks to the assisting instructors Dipak Das and Samit Chandra Paul for their hard work and contribution.

    JKAWF INDIA Kolkata Team attending JKA 16th Asia-Oceania Karate Camp & Conference 2019

    A 7 member “JKAWF INDIA Kolkata Team” attending “JKA 16th Asia-Oceania Karate Camp & Conference 2019” in Bangkok. The camp has started on 6th of December and will last till 8th December.

    There were 2 sessions of “Instructor’s Training” and each session were for a couple of hours. The main course instructor was TATSUYA NAKA Shihan who covered many aspects of “Body Dynamics” viz. Body Shifting, Body Lifting, Body Dropping, Body Compression, Body Expansion etc. He also explained the 5 Triangles in a karate posture that helps generating maximum focus, stability and energy. ‘Proper way of Breathing’ of each of every move in Kata, that is also very effective in Kumite was one of the fundamental themes of the day.Naka Shihan explained the importance of Posture, Power, Spirit and Breathing in JKA Budo Karate-Do. Overall both the classes were totally educational and highly intellectually stimulating.

    Four JKA Shotokan Kata were covered; Kata Tekki Sandan, Gankaku, Hangetsu and Jitte.

    The JKAWF INDIA Kolkata would like to thank Fujikiyo Omura Shihan for hosting such wonderful events annually, for the invitation and for being such a wonderful host.All members of JKAWF INDIA Kolkata trained on the first day gave their best and enjoying at the fullest training hard-core JKA Karate.Here are a few randomly clicked snaps.
